The size is the height, in centimetres

A size 104 fits a child who is about 104 cm tall. Age is printed alongside as a rough guide, but children of the same age vary by a full size in either direction — so measure if you can.

How to measure

Stand the child against a wall without shoes, heels together, and mark the top of the head. Measure from the floor to the mark. That number is the size.

Between two sizes

Take the larger one. Cuffs, hems and waist tabs are built to be turned back and let down, so a size up buys most of another season. The exception is outerwear you need to fit this winter — there, take the true size.
